Our History

Carlinville High School is located in Carlinville, Illinois.  The town is approximately 50 miles south of Springfield, Illinois and 65 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri.  It is the county seat of Macoupin County, and is considered an outlying part of the Metro-East region of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. Our proximity to Springfield and St. Louis provides students with many opportunities throughout the school year.

Macoupin CEO Hosting Online Trivia Night

The Macoupin CEO, which has participants from each high school in the county (CHS students are Aidan Tosh, Chance Pointer, Dustin Roberts and Hailee Bryant), is having an online trivia night.

Tobacco & Drug Free Shirts

Due to the shift to remote learning, the order deadline for the 2020 Campaign to Pledge to be Tobacco & Drug Free shirts and masks has been extended to November 30.

Virtual Food Drive

The CHS Student Council had planned a food drive prior to remote learning. We have now modified it to a virtual food drive.
