Mr. Jack Burns, retired Command Sgt. Major from the Illinois National Guard and current Gillespie teacher, visited CHS and spent a day with World History students speaking about military strategies, as well as marching formation. Students were studying Ancient Greece and created their own shields. Students voted for the 21 best shields created by their peers, and they are currently on display in the high school office window.
