Bake for Good is King Arthur Baking Company's free outreach program for students in grades 4 through 12. They have three goals: learn, bake, and share. Students learn the math and science of making bread from scratch. With supplies from King Arthur, they bake the bread recipe at home or together at school. The recipe makes two loaves, one to keep and one to share with someone in need or as an act of kindness. The department will donate the extra loaves to families in our community. This project will take place late March early April.
Section 15 Proficiency Award winners this past week were Dane Rosentreter in Ag Mechanics Repair & Maintenance and Jack Stayton in Grain Production. Also, 4 FFA members have applied and interviewed for their state degree: Tomas Cottingham, Braylee Gilmore, Kayla Quarton, and Jack Stayton. State degree results will be announced in April and presented in June at the state convention.
